Coherent Multi-Radiance Therapy: The Science
by Dr Arzhan Surazakov PhD

Coherent Multi-Radiance Therapy (coMra-Therapy) encompasses the latest discoveries in biophysics, photobiology and laser technology, and combines these in a single device called the Delta Laser.
HOW COMRA-THERAPY WORKS
coMra-Therapy operates on a cellular level via a number of different mechanisms of action. The combination of Near-Infrared Laser, Color Light Emitting Diodes, Magnetic Field and Ultrasound all play respective roles in stimulating the immune and regenerative functions of the human body. Therefore, treatments with coMra-Therapy act both locally at the site of a disease, and also systemically by means of light-induced release of chemical messengers and modulation of the nervous system.
The Near-Infrared Laser and Magnetic Field deliver energy directly to the site of a disease, penetrating from epidermis to inner organs (down to 5 cm) and restoring energy deficit in diseased cells by accelerating enzymatic synthesis of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP).
Colour LEDs initiate a number of signaling pathways inside cells, as well as between components of the immune and nervous systems. Intracellular signaling involves changes in reactive oxygen species, Ca2+, free radical NO• and pH. Irradiation of skin sensory nerves and immune cells cause a cascade of responses in the central nervous system and modulation of systemic immune responses.
Ultrasound increases the speed and efficiency of enzyme activity in cells, inter- and intracellular mass transport and other biochemical processes through non-destructive mechanical agitation.
TARGETS OF COMRA-THERAPY
Diseased cells
Because of the universal action of coMra-Therapy at a cellular level, all types of diseased cells in connective, muscle, nervous and epithelial tissues can benefit from the coMra-Therapy radiances. The cells respond to coMra-Therapy by increasing respiratory activity, enhancing cell proliferation that leads to tissue regeneration and improving resistance of cells to toxins, hypoxia and other stress factors.
Immune system
Through supporting functionality of immune cells, coMra-Therapy plays a major role in stimulating the immune system and enhancing both innate and specific resistance to pathogens. In particular, coMra-Therapy facilitates chemotactic and phagocytic activities of neutrophils and macrophages, increases lymphocyte population and modulates production of inflammatory messengers.
Nervous system
coMra-Therapy is remarkably effective in relieving acute musculoskeletal pain and also chronic pain associated with many diseases; for instance, fibromyalgia and diabetic neuropathy. As a neuroprotective therapy, coMra-Therapy can be successfully used in post-traumatic nerve repair, prevention of muscle atrophy and acute ischemic stroke.
Blood
Non-invasive blood irradiation with coMra-Therapy enhances oxygenation of tissues by photodissociation of oxyhemoglobin in the blood and activates immune cells traveling in the blood. When applied locally at the site of injury coMra-Therapy increases peripheral and cerebral blood microcirculation.
Organs
The combination of deeply penetrating NIR Laser and Magnetic Field, together with the skin neuro-immunological action of Colour LEDs and Ultrasound, facilitates the treatment of all organs and systems of the human body. The coMra-Therapy User Guide includes more than 100 treatments for conditions in surgery, traumatology, otorhinolaryngology, stomatology, cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, gynaecology, urology, nephrology, proctology, neurology, endocrinology, autoimmune diseases, oncology, dermatology and general well-being.
DELTA LASER
coMra-Therapy's methods of action are fully embodied in the Delta Laser - a portable and compact device comprised of the control unit, (Handle), and four interchangeable terminals. The Medical terminal is used when treating medical conditions, for irradiating body surfaces and projections of inner organs and blood/lymph vessels. The Aesthetic terminal with enhanced ultrasound is used in cosmetics and dermatology. The elongated shape of the Probe terminal is suitable for irradiation of body orifices. For treatments directly to the scalp, as well as hair care, the extended LED guides on the Meridian terminal can deliver radiances directly to the scalp and hair follicles.
APPLICATION OF COMRA-THERAPY
The procedures for applying the Delta Laser in the treatment of the main groups of diseases is extensively covered in the accompanying User Guide. Treatment times per session vary from 5 minutes (for minor cuts) up to 3 hours 30 minutes (for comprehensive treatment of all the body's muscle groups in muscular dystrophy). The number of treatments necessary varies from one-time application (for a headache) to at least 4-8 months (for multiple sclerosis).
SAFETY OF COMRA-THERAPY
coMra-Therapy is a completely non-invasive and non-destructive approach to healing. The four types of radiances are used at such low power levels that they cannot damage the building blocks of an organism: cells and protein molecules. Therefore, coMra-Therapy is entirely safe when used according to the Operating Instructions. coMra-Therapy can be safely used on open wounds, on babies, pregnant women and elderly people.
