Laser acupuncture has been around for decades now and is no longer controversial. Studies have shown changes to brain function following the use of lasers on acupuncture points, showing that laser light does indeed have an effect on them.
Using the Delta Laser with the Probe terminal and the extended sheath makes acupuncture sterile and pain-free and can be used on its own or in conjuction with needles if desired. Laser acupunture offers itself in cases where needles are not practical, such as with children or animals, patients with a strong aversion to needles or in the case of skin that is burnt or otherwise damaged or ill.
The tip of the Probe Terminal is held against the relevant point, which is then irradiated for 1-2 minutes at the 1000 Hz setting. Practitioners are however encouraged to adjust the exposure time depending on their experience over time.
